These were my favorite photographs taken by a SAIT photographer in the back stage, which I made as a new cover for the club website. Our formation here was amazing! We didn't plan it in any way. In fact, we ran and rushed to have the picture taken but we still ended up standing side by side in a perfectly arranged alphabetical order. Hehe!
Spring Convocation was held on May 28 and 29, 2015.
Ceremony One - May 28, 2015 at 1 pm
School of Business
MacPhail School of Energy
Ceremony Two - May 29, 2015 at 9 am
School of Construction
School of Manufacturing and Automation
School of Transportation
Ceremony Three - May 29, 2015 at 1 pm
School of Information and Communications Technologies
School of Hospitality and Tourism
School of Health and Public Safety
The ITSD program belongs to the School of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). The color of sash was blue for the School of ICT, red for the School of Hospitality and Tourism, and green for the School of Health and Public Safety.
SAIT's Honorary Degree Recipients for this year are Clarence Hollingworth for Ceremony One, Dave Mowat for Ceremony Two, and Linda Olsen for Ceremony Three.
The atmosphere was just very lively and peaceful, and it felt like everyone was in the mood to celebrate. Dr. David Ross, SAIT's 16th President and CEO, said in his speech that we are the last class of SAIT's first century.
"...It is not the strongest that attains the greatest achievements, nor the most intelligent, but those who have the heart to make a difference [paraphrased]", Dr. David Ross.
The speeches given in the ceremony were all very inspiring and remarkable.
